Cougars shut out in a non-league game against visiting Rio Americano from Sacramento, CA.

Rio Americano's pitcher held the high powered cougars offense to only three hits, shutting them out in a complete game performance.

The cougars combined pitching efforts of Kalihau Hugo, Dru Ashimine, Tanner Kagimoto, and Calab Ahumada struck out eight and allowing four hits.

The cougars threatened in the bottom of the seventh. After two quick outs, Colbly Taniguchi singles to right. Case Cannon follows with a single to right. With two on, Mana Shigehara-Pang hits a sinking line drive to right that was caught by the right fielder to end the game.

Hayzen Inouye, Taniguchi, and Cannon were the three hits, all singles.
