Jackson Wood grounds out to first, but courtesy runner, Aiden Leong scores on the play. Mana Shigehara-Pang's sacrifice fly scores Sham. Case Cannon lines a single to center to score Hamasaki for the third run of the inning.

Colby Taniguchi's defensive plays came up big to end Roosevelt's potential big innings. In the second inning, Taniguchi ends the inning with laser throw home nailing the runner attempting to score from second. In the third inning with the bases loaded, Taniguchi's inning ending diving catch on a shallow fly ball ends the threat. Taniguchi also pitched the final two and two thirds inning to secure the win.
